Monitoring

 

  • Monitoring water quality at upstream site in Moorestown since 1998 (volunteer
     monitoring for Delaware Riverkeeper Network).  Our work was highlighted in
     the DRN 2003 publication,  “Monitoring the Health of the Watershed:  A Five-Year
    Summary of Volunteer Monitoring Data.”  Historical DRN site in tidal marsh.

 

  • Monitoring bacteria (including fecal coli form) at same site since 1998.

 

 

  • Biological monitoring (macro invertebrates) since 2002.

 

  • Began river assessments of the creek for NJDEP program (RATS) in 2002.

 

 

  • Invited member of DEP’s Watershed Watch Network Advisory Committee 2003- 2004

.

  • Monitor reptiles and amphibians for NJ Herp Atlas and Vernal Pool Programs.

 

  • Natural area care in preserved areas, removal of litter and invasive plant species and
    replanting of native plants.
