water quality at upstream site in Moorestown since 1998 (volunteer
monitoring for Delaware Riverkeeper
Network). Our work was highlighted
in
the DRN 2003 publication, “Monitoring the Health of the Watershed:
A Five-Year
Summary of Volunteer
Monitoring Data.” Historical
DRN site in tidal marsh.
- Monitoring
bacteria (including fecal coli form) at same site since 1998.
- Biological
monitoring (macro invertebrates) since 2002.
- Began river
assessments of the creek for NJDEP program (RATS) in 2002.
- Invited
member of DEP’s Watershed Watch Network Advisory Committee 2003- 2004
.
- Monitor
reptiles and amphibians for NJ Herp Atlas and Vernal Pool Programs.
- Natural area
care in preserved areas, removal of litter and invasive plant species
and
replanting of native plants.
